Revise Unpublished Assessments

This guide assists with revising assessments which are unpublished. If you need to revise an assessment that has already been published, please view the guide on Revising Published Assessments.

Revise Questions

  1. On the left Tool List of your site, select Assessments.
  2. Find the desired assessment in the Assessments: not released to students tab and select Edit from the drop-down Action menu.

  • Use the Question drop-down menu to change the order in which the questions appear.
  • Select Remove to delete the question from the assessment. To confirm removing the question, select Remove. To keep the question, select Cancel.
  • Select Edit to open the question-editing screen. You can change the question type, answer point value, question text, the answer(s) for the question, and question part. Select Save to keep your changes.
  1. To add more questions to the assessment, use the Add Question drop-down menu and select the type of question to add.

Revise Parts

  1. On the left Tool List of your site, select Assessments.

  2. In the Assessments: not released to students tab, select Edit from the drop-down Action menu.

  3. Every assessment must contain at least one part. By default, your assessment contains one part when you created it. Select Add Part to create a part.
    • To change the order in which a part appears in your assessment, change the number in the drop-down menu in the part's title bar.
    • To remove a part, select Remove. You'll have the option to remove the part and all its questions or remove the part only and move its question(s) to another part.
    • To modify the title of the part, select Edit and enter a new title in the field provided. Select Save to save your changes.
    • To copy the entire part into a Question Pool, select Copy to Pool and select which already existing Question Pool you want the part to go to. Select Copy to save your changes.

If you do not change the default part's name, its heading (i.e., gray divider) will not appear on your assessment. Any questions or images you place in this part will appear; only the heading will be hidden.
