Adding Extra Credit in Gradebook

Gradebook allows you to enter extra credit for participants. There are four different ways to add extra credit in Gradebook:

  • Add extra credit to the final average—this can ONLY be done when using the CATEGORIES and WEIGHTED CATEGORIES.
Example: Give participant 5 points on final grade for perfect attendance.
  • Add extra credit to a category
Example: Give participant 5 extra credit points on their calculated exam grades.
  •  Add extra credit to Gradebook and have it averaged with the grade
Example: Give participant 5 extra credit points and have it averaged with their grade. This is normally done in a non-weighted, non-categorized gradebook.
  • Add extra credit to an individual item by assigning points over the item's max value
