Why Create a Project Site?

Project sites allow users to communicate and collaborate with each other, much like a course site does.  Unlike a course site, which has a roster attached to it, a project site must have users added to it

Project sites can be created for a variety of reasons such as:

- group projects
- collaboration with other colleagues
- departmental sites
- campus organizations
- many others!

  • Project sites are open-ended and do not have an end date.

  • More than one participant can be added at a time via the Add Participants tool in Site Info.  If you have a list of people that need to be added to the site simply copy and paste them into the tool.

  • Each site has 10gb of storage space.

  • Project sites can have multiple site maintainers.

  •  Any Texas State user (Faculty, Students, Staff) may create a project site.

  • You may create as many project sites as you wish.
